Supported housing carrickfergus5/17/2023 Our first service was located on the Dublin Road and has since expanded in partnership with Golden Lane Housing with a number of properties in the Omagh area. It opened as a residential home in 1990 and then in 2013 became a supported living service. Omagh Supported Living Service provides domiciliary care and support to people with a learning disability in their own homes in the Omagh area. We encourage personal development and support the people we work with to access services and activities within their local communities. We promote their right to have a fulfilled life within a safe and secure environment, by promoting independence and having personalised support packages for each person. We encourage the people we work with to have input and be involved in every aspect of their support. We pride ourselves on having a person-centred approach to the support we give, which means putting the person's needs first. This could be one-to-one support for a few hours in their own home, up to 24 hour support in specially adapted accommodation. ![]() Our services are designed to meet the specific needs of individual service users. Our range of specialised services are available across Northern Ireland. We also work closely with Education and Training providers, community groups and other voluntary sector agencies. At Mencap, we work in partnership with the Health Trusts in Northern Ireland, with RQIA, Supporting People, Golden Lane Housing, and our local Housing Associations.
